In this one-day training, we will deepen the knowledge and skills acquired during the Basic SSE Training. We will discuss how significant interests, tension, power, and trust relate to each other and how you, as an environmental professional, can make a difference with SSE (Strategic Stakeholder Engagement). In this tailored training, we will first discuss which aspects of your turbulent practice will be addressed. At the end of the training, participants will have concrete and actionable perspectives on how they can deal with the daily challenges of the stakeholder engagement professional, both internally and externally, in their own work practice.

What you are going to do
“But how do I deal with...?” This is a frequently asked question during our SSE training sessions because the reality is indeed turbulent. For example: there isn't always enough time for careful analysis, stakeholder discussions have sometimes progressed further than intended, the news cycle and political dynamics demand agility and quick adjustments, and rapidly escalating tensions can create new dilemmas. And how do you achieve careful communication when the pressure is on?
In this training, we will explore, using your case or that of a colleague, how significant interests, tension, power, and trust relate to each other and how to deal with the dynamics this creates, both within and outside your organization. And most importantly: what you, as an stakeholder engagement professional, can do to make a difference for your organization and the stakeholders in your project.
Completion of the Basic SSE Training is a prerequisite for this in-depth training day.
