Zita van Aggelen

Senior consultant

Zita has extensive experience in Strategic Environmental Management in the energy sector: from participation in her hometown's own wind turbine development and advice on stakeholder approaches for the RES (Regional Energy Strategy) to advising municipalities and provinces on the development and implementation of the energy transition.

Zita identifies where development is needed and initiates the implementation for it. Through her enthusiasm and unique working style, she brings people along. In recent years, Zita has shaped and given substance to the Learning Platform Energy and Environment (LEO). This nationally operating platform is now ready for the next step: expanding with more participants so that the discussions gain a broader perspective and more parties exchange knowledge. Additionally, she was instrumental in developing the serious game Environmental Act Harvert. With this game, participants gain experience with the new Environmental Act and with participation based on MGA/SOM in area development. This simulation is played increasingly often by parties, and is even used with external stakeholders, taking a first step towards better collaboration.

Zita consistently works from a combination of technology and people. With her background as a structural engineer, her work at a grid operator (cables and pipelines), and in the energy transition, she has a clear understanding of what is technically required and combines that with a people-oriented approach. Zita is also skilled at switching between strategic and operational levels and knows how to connect them. These qualities have led to Zita taking a very logical step into the field of environmental management.
