For the municipality of Amsterdam, SSE consultant Jeroen Medema investigated the suitability of a site in Amsterdam-West for large-scale events, such as dance events and pop concerts. Using Joint Fact Finding, he researched the pros and cons of the site together with stakeholders in the area, competent authorities, and their consultants. In working groups on topics including safety, quality of life, mobility, and impact on nature, the stakeholders worked together to answer the research questions. Having jointly established the conclusions of the Joint Fact Finding research, the Municipality of Amsterdam decided that the site is not suitable for large-scale events. Jeroen Medema wrote about his approach and experiences in a
publication by WesselinkVanZijst.
