On behalf of organizations in the public and private sector, Thijs works on assignments in which collaboration and trust between different parties and stakeholders is of vital importance but suffers from the pressures of time, strained relationships, limited financial resources or interests that are strongly opposed. In doing so, he focuses on approaching the interests of all parties with professionalism, care and integrity. Thijs is the author (with Johanneke de Lint and Roelof Benthem) of the book Canvas Omgevingsmanagement (Canvas Stakeholder Engagement).
